GERRY MOSS performs and writes a broad range of material from blues, to jazz, to country, to pop, although he is most widely known for the blues.

GERRY can perform and headline either as a single artist self-accompanied on guitar and/or keyboards or with an electric band ranging from 3 up to 14 pieces. His 3-5 piece band is called MOSSMAN. When the band is larger, they are called the RED BARN RAMBLERS. The number varies according to scheduling, availability and the wants of whoever wants to hire Gerry.
Although GERRY has not become a household name, he garners the respect and admiration of many in the industry. They enthusiastically step up to opportunities to perform with him. This explains the existence of MOSSMAN and the RED BARN RAMBLERS. Some of his band mates have had their own encounters with fame.

GERRY has performed in shows with rhythm and blues artists such as Bobby “Blue” Bland, Albert Collins, Rufus Thomas, Lloyd Price, B.B. King, Albert King, James Cotton, and Buddy Guy.
On the country side he has performed with Merle Haggard, George Jones, Willie Nelson, Charlie Pride, Hank Williams, Jr., David Lynn Jones, and Clint Black’s band.

One of GERRY’S previous bands, “The Famous Unknowns,” was the house band at B.B. Kings Blues Club in Memphis, TN for 2½ years.
For a time, Gerry was the bass guitar player with Lloyd Price (Personality, Stagger Lee, Lawdy Miss Claudy).
He also toured as guitarist for Johnny Lee during the “Looking For Love” era.
He played in the Teresa James Band and Danny Timms while living in California.
He went on to record and tour with singer songwriter David Lynn Jones.

All band members contribute enormous skill and experience. Two of them are:
Legendary drummer/producer/videographer John Ware. John was the drummer for Linda Ronstadt, Emmy Lou Harris, and Michael Nesmith of Monkees fame. He has a lengthy discography that includes many others.
Earl Cate of the Cate Brothers whose biggest single hit was “Union Man” in 1979. Their debut album included in their band Ronnie Hawkins, Levon Helm, Steve Cropper, Donald “Duck” Dunn and Poco bass guitarist Timothy B. Schmit who later joined the Eagles. In the early 1980’s the brothers joined Helm, Rick Danko, Richard Manuel, and Garth Hudson in a revival of The Band. They also worked with blues singer Maria Muldaur.
